A judge has sentenced Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton to 45 days in Los Angeles County jail for violating her probation in a reckless-driving case.
Hilton must go to jail on June 5 and she will spend the 45 days at a women’s jail in suburban Lynwood. Paris Hilton will not be allowed any work release, no furloughs, no use of an alternative jail and no electronic monitoring in lieu of jail.
She pleaded to the judge just before the decision “I’m very sorry and from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything. I’m sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all”
LA judge handed down the sentence after prosecutors contended in a two-hour hearing that Hilton had violated her probation when she was ticketed in late February for driving a blue Bentley Continental GTC on Sunset Boulevard with a suspended license. Hilton and her attorneys argued that it was a mistake and that her action did not warrant a jail sentence.
